Hey, I'm Robyn!

Thank you for being here :)

I fell in love with yoga at the age of 16. My studio was my bedroom and I was learning from a BOOK of poses I’d borrowed from the library!

Through the practice, I learned to treat my body with the respect and compassion that it had been denied for so long.

I decided after many years of self-practice, I was ready to learn more in the hope of one day being able to share the joy that Yoga brought me, with others.

After completing my first training I finally felt like I had found my ‘calling’ (corny I know).

Thanks to being suck at home over most of 2020 I have been able to put more time and effort into teaching and training. I pursued a lot of further learnings and decided to pair my love of teaching with my love of fitness and became a Personal Trainer too!

I have continued to self educate ever since through workshops and training.

I have always been fascinated with the way the body moves.

Learning to be adaptable and strong in my practice has allowed me to become more open to shifting my beliefs about movement.

Don’t be scared to try something new because you might fail. Be open to failing so you can be better prepared to learn and grow from it ✨

My Ethos

When I started practising a more functional and strength-based style of yoga I didn’t realise it would impact my life so much.

Not only do I live almost pain-free (apart from a few niggles when I’m not diligent) but I also have a greater appreciation for my bodies abilities.

I also realised it allowed me to move in different ways more safely, especially when strength training.

My goal in my practices is no longer to do the most complicated pose, hardest workout or nail the most impressive moves.

I use my movement - be that in the gym, yoga or mobility training (or just walking!!) as a way to connect to the body in that moment. Approaching it with a sense of pure appreciation for how I have shown up on any given day.

Because life is beautifully inconsistent, throws us curveballs and teaches us lessons, to me it only makes sense to use your movement choices to your advantage!

Why move only one way your whole life when it doesn’t present challenges the same way life does. Movement isn’t just that one hour on the mat or in the gym. It’s a cumulative experience. (This is when most coaches start banging on about NEAT, and they have a point) xox
